Push-out test of tablet packaging (PTP) measures the force required to extrude the tablet by pushing in the plastic part of the tablet packaging with a compression jig. Tablet packaging is required to properly protect its contents during transportation and storage, as well as tablets to be easily removed when consumed. This test quantifies the force required to push out the tablet, which can be utilized in R&D and quality control. It is also possible to check the transition of the pushing force in a graph using the optional software. This is useful when analyzing step changes in force when opening aluminum foil and when pushing out tablets.
