This video introduces the method of stay-on-tab package open test based on ISO 17480 (2015) [Packaging - Accessible design - Ease of opening] (corresponding part only). This standard requires to pull to an angle of 90 degrees at a speed of 500 mm/min to read the opening strength, which is the maximum force value (peak) in measurement. The force gauge used in this video has a high sampling speed (2000 data / sec) for accurate readings without missing the momentary maximum force value. It is also possible to graph and analyze the results. Such opening force measurement is used in R&D and quality control.

The speed range change (-V600) is required for ISO and JIS standard measurement.
