Earthquake-proof mat is used to adhere the furniture on a floor to avoid its falling down during the earthquake. The adhesive force is important to the quality of earthquake-proof. This video shows how to measure the adhesive strength of the earthquake-proof mat by tack test. Tack test is performed like this: Compress the mat at a certain speed until it reaches at a certain force then return, then the force gauge indicates a maximum force of the return, which is the earthquake-proof mat's adhesive strength. It is used for R&D and quality control.
